Arongen had their 2025 Field Day this week and the students had a blast competing and working together in all the different events!

Karigon held its last Best Buddies event of the 2025-26 school year. Students had a ball spending time together doing crafts, dancing, rock climbing and enjoying some sweet treats together. Best Buddies International is an organization that promotes building one-on-one relationships, and we have a thriving community of support and inclusion here at Karigon!

Shen Unified Basketball faced Cohoes last week in the championship game at the MVP Arena. Congratulations to both teams on an incredible season!
Okte students had beautiful weather for their Field Day today. They participated in 10 minute stations of battleships, sponge pass, pig in a pot, sack race, ladder ball, and more!

Congratulations to the medal winners in the Gowana Team 6-2 Greek Olympics! Each class researched a different Greek city-state and then created scrolls and flags to show off what they had learned.
The Tesago Select Chorus, directed by Michael Lotano, will be performing with schools from all over the capital district in the American Young Voices concert on Monday, June 2 at the MVP Arena in Albany!
This year’s Unified Physical Education Field Day was Wednesday, May 21st. The UPE classes in Grades 6-12 had a fun filled morning of inclusion as they participated in various physical fitness activities and challenges. Over 120 students were in attendance!

Congratulations to Koda Middle School student, Ratnottama Bhattacharyya, for participating in the Promising Young Writers Program and being awarded the highest honor of “First Class.”
5th Graders had the opportunity to tour the Tri-Building in preparation for the fall. Current Middle Schoolers led them on tours through the buildings and answered any questions they had during a Q&A session in the Gowana Auditorium!
Okte students brought their A-game to Career & College Week, proudly showcasing their future goals in style. From aspiring teachers, astronauts, and doctors to professional soccer players, they’re dreaming big and dressing the part! Many also sported college and university gear, highlighting the importance of higher education in achieving their dreams.
Join our HSE Jazz Bands, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble for their final concert of the year as we bid farewell to our band seniors in a concert titled Chillers and Thrillers. You don’t want to miss it! Thursday, May 29th at 7pm in the High School East Auditorium.
Koda 6th graders brought history to life by creating and participating in a Greek Mythology Wax Museum.
